Roasted apples with cinnamon

Hi everyone!
What is your favourite fruit? Mine is definitely banana, berries and roasted apples!

Yesterday my grandpa gave us a lot of small apples from his and granny's garden. They are quite sour, but they are so aromatic! So, I created a really delicious thing - roasted apples with cinnamon and brown sugar☺Perfect for apple pie, toasts, sandwiches, pancakes and rice. I love the spicy scent of cinnamon and warmth of baked apples with wrinkled skin!

My granny also loves apples☺She usually streaks the apples, mix with cinnamon, lemon juice and sugar and make a really yummy jam, perfect for her signature apple pie! Granny makes the apple pie using wheat flour, but she and I are thinking about making a gluten free version, so stay tuned☺

Today my auntie has brought us a freshly baked apple pie from my granny. What a pity I can't eat it. But I'm happy my mum, dad and brother can enjoy it!

I can eat only processed apples. Raw ones are very harmful for my bowel. I hope you can enjoy apples!

So, here's the recipe!

What you need:

♡apples (I used sour, but sweeter are also great)
♡caster sugar (to taste)
♡lemon juice (you can skip, but it prevents apples from darkening)
♡cinnamon (to taste)

What you need to do:

1. Peel of the apples and cut them into little cubs. ♡

2. Put the apples into the pot and add sugar, lemon juice and cinnamon. Heat, stir and wait until the apples become soft and will fall into a mousse. ♡

3. Heat well and bring to a boil. Put the apple jam into clean jars, twist and turn them upside down. Let them cool. ♡

4. When the jars have cooled down, put them in the pantry and use for apple pies, rice or pancakes. Enjoy! ♡
